Very tasty,Crispy and crunchy chicken drumsticks that are coated with all purpose flour,bread crumbs,crushed corn flakes for extra crunchiness ,some herbs and spices.
Ingredients
- chicken drumsticks – 5
- corn flakes – 1 cup(volume reduces to half when crushed)
- all purpose flour – 1 cup
- bread crumbs -1/4 cup
- salt – 2 teaspoons
- red chilli powder – 2 teaspoons
- ginger powder – 2 teaspoons
- garlic powder – 1 1/2 teaspoon
- dried oregano – 2 tsp
- dried basil leaves – 2 tsp
- pepper powder – 1/2 tsp
- eggs -2
- lemon juice – 1 lemon
Instructions
Marinating Chicken drumsticks
- rinse chicken thoroughly, pat dry with an paper towel.
- take them into a bowl,add 1 teaspoon salt,red chilli powder(1 tsp),black pepper powder(1/4 tsp),garlic powder(1 tsp),ginger powder(1 tsp),dried oregano(1 tsp),dried basil leaves(1 tsp),lemon juice(1 tbsp).mix well and keep aside for an hour.
Crushing corn flakes
- take one cup of corn flakes,put them in zip lock bag.
- place the bag on kitchen platform and crush them into small pieces with rolling pin.but not too much(do not powder them)
Preparing flour mixture to coat the drumsticks
- take a bowl,add all purpose flour,salt (1/2 teaspoon),red chilli powder(1 tsp),black pepper powder (1/4 tsp),ginger powder(1 tsp),garlic powder (1/2tsp),dried oregano and basil leaves,bread crumbs and crushed corn flakes.
- mix them well and keep aside.
Dredging drumsticks
- break two eggs into a bowl and beat them lightly.
- take the flour mixture and marinated chicken drumsticks.
- dredge chicken with the flour mixture and put it in the beaten eggs.
- again dredge with flour and keep aside.repeat the process with remaining pieces.
Heating oil and frying
- heat enough oil for deep frying.heat on low flame.
- when the oil is hot,drop the chicken drumsticks carefully and fry them until they turn into nice golden brown color.
